My new favorite show is Gordan Ramsey’s The F Word. We watched it for the first time on Sunday which inspired Joseph to buy new knives for our kitchen later that evening. The show is part talk show, cooking lessons, health facts, farming, and a glimpse of Gordon’s home life. He has celebrities join him in the kitchen for competitions (kind of like Throwdown) and casual chatting about various British going-ons. We both thought it was a charming – maybe that isn’t the appropriate word – interesting show and I can’t wait to see it again next weekend.
Today I had to call in sick to work. My first time calling in sick to work in I don’t know how long. I never called in for Starbucks, so I suppose it has been since I had my surgery! I started having severe stomach pains last night and couldn’t fall asleep. I woke up again this morning with an upset stomach and I knew I wasn’t going to be able to teach. After I called in to work, I had a terrible time trying to fall asleep. I wish I could have taken my stomach out, let it work out it’s own problems, and then we could have been on with our business. But no, the discomfort lasted well into the afternoon and I could finally stomach some cheese and crackers. I feel like I need to get some fresh air to make myself feel better, but hopefully it will pass and I’ll be on the up and up!!!
