Despite popular rumors, I don’t know how to knit. I can do basic crochet (like the scarf that Bree and family members have received in the past) which turns out rather chunky and uneven, but it is the thought that counts, right? A few girls have a cute knitting club after school on Fridays. We listen to very girly music, drink Earl Grey, snack on freshly baked cookies, and gossip about the day’s events. I had a lot of fun, and one of these days I’m going to actually learn how to knit! Next week I’m going to design a club logo, somewhat like a royal British emblem with a sheep, some knitting needles, and of course a crown and flowing ribbon. I’ll post when finished.
Emilie and I had a lovely dinner last night and finally got to catch up with one another! We are planning on doing a sewing project together, hopefully next week. She hasn’t been to Allyn’s yet, and I know she will feel overwhelmed, but happy with the floor to ceiling fabric choices. She and I are also going to check out a printmaking exhibit that a man from her church has but together. Here is the website if you would like to see a little bit more… From Durer to Rembrandt
